About Roofing Wilder: Roofers in Wilder Who Trace the Cause First
We are a roofing company in Wilder, Kentucky, and our work starts with one question: what is actually letting water, wind or wear into your roof? We answer that on the roof and in the attic before we price anything, so the work you pay for addresses the real problem.
Why We Start With the Cause
A water stain on a bedroom ceiling rarely sits under the spot that failed. Water gets past the shingles, runs down the underlayment or along a rafter, and shows up several feet away. A roofer who patches the shingles directly above the stain can charge you for a repair that changes nothing. We set up our company to avoid exactly that.
On every visit we work from the outside in. Up top, we read the shingles first: bare patches where the granules have washed off, splits across the mat, and tabs that have broken free of their seal strip. Next come the flashing at chimneys, sidewalls and valleys, the rubber boots around plumbing vents, and the nail lines. If the attic has safe access, we study the underside of the roof deck too: rings of old water marks, nail tips rusting from trapped moisture, and plywood that flexes when pressed. Our freeze-thaw winters push water into small gaps and widen them, so we look hard at anywhere ice can sit.
Then we tell you what we found, show you the photos, and explain the fix that matches the cause. Sometimes that is a new pipe boot or a few feet of resealed step flashing. Sometimes the decking is soft enough that roof replacement is the honest answer. Either way, you hear the reason before you hear the price.

How We Work on Your Home
Photos of what we found
You can't see your roof from the driveway the way we see it from the ridge. We photograph the problem areas, including the attic when we can reach it, and walk you through each picture so the estimate makes sense.
A repair-or-replace answer with reasons
We do not lead with a new roof. If a targeted roof repair will hold for years, we say so. If the shingles are brittle on every slope or the decking is failing, we explain why patching would only buy time.
Line-item written estimates
Your estimate lists the work by part: tear-off, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and any decking that needs replacing. You can see what moves the cost and ask about any line.
Gutters and siding checked as part of the system
Overflowing gutters can rot fascia and soak the wall below. Loose siding can let water behind the flashing where a wall meets the roof. We look at both when they touch the problem, because a leak does not always start at the shingles.
Towns We Cover
Wilder is home for our crew, and our trucks also head out to Highland Heights, Southgate, Cold Spring, Fort Thomas, Newport, Covington, Fort Wright, Fort Mitchell, Edgewood and Taylor Mill. No matter the town, each visit follows the same order: the inspection comes first, then the findings and photos, then a written estimate. The Service Areas page lists more about where we go.

Let Us Trace What's Behind the Damage
It might be a brown ring spreading across the ceiling, a few shingles torn loose after a windy night, or a gutter pulling away from the fascia board. Give us a call, tell us what you're seeing, and we'll set a time to come out and build a free estimate on what the roof actually shows us.
